Kobe Bryant Among NBA Stars Shining in Philippines

facebooktwitterreddit

As mentioned earlier this week, Kobe Bryant is doing work in the Philippines. In recent years KB24 has taken a linking to spending some of his summer in the upcoming hoops hotbed in Asia. This time around Bryant isn’t going at it alone.

According to multiple outlets, Bryant has agreed to participate in a couple of exhibition games in Manila. Joining the best baller on the planet will be both Kevin Durant and Chris Paul.

But the list doesn’t stop there.

Tyreke Evans, Russell Westbrook, James Harden and DeAndre Jordan have also been extended invites to take the trip across the Pacific.

While the lockout languishes more and more are departing the States to seek other outlets for their basketball jones. Of course it is nothing new for NBA players to spend portions of their summer overseas, this year is just much different.

Currently there is no threat of anybody skipping the NBA to participate in the Philippine Basketball Association. But if the rest of the league sees what Kobe has experienced in recent years there’s no reason to think the island nation won’t be more frequented by top notch talent for years to come.
