Game Grades: Lakers Tank Rolls On With Late Collapse
By Jacob Rude
MVP: I want to give this award to OJ Mayo (his three-pointer at the end of regulation tied the game) and Brandon Knight (his scoring barrage in OT won them the game), but since I doubt many Lakers’ fans would approve, we’ll award it to Carlos Boozer, who put in a season-high 28 points tonight. Honorable mention to Ed Davis and his 20 rebounds.
LVP: Since we’ve disqualified Ryan Kelly from this award thanks to amazing misuse by Byron Scott, I’ll give the honors to Jordan Clarkson, who went just 0-4 on the night in 23 minutes and had two points. Not the best night from the rookie, who was taken out during crunch time in favor of Jeremy Lin.
Stat of the Night: 25-11. As in the run the Bucks finished the game on, dating back to their back-to-back three-pointers to close the fourth and then 19 points in the overtime period, a truly tank-erific collapse by the purple and gold.
