While the fans would love for the Lakers to be chasing a title, at the very least they will get to see their team wear a different jersey this season. The NBA will be holding their annual Latin Nights Program at the beginning of the March and the Lakers will be debuting their “Los Lakers” jerseys.
You will get to see them first when the Lakers visit the Heat in Miami on March 4th, but Laker fans will get to see them four days later when they host the Dallas Mavericks.
For more information on the “Los Lakers” jerseys, here’s the official press release from the Lakers:
EL SEGUNDO – The NBA announced today its ninth annual Latin Nights program, titled Noches éne•bé•a (eh-nay-bay-ah) with the Los Angeles Lakers debuting their 2015 “Los Lakers” uniforms on March 4 when they travel to Miami to face the Heat. The Lakers will also celebrate Noches éne•bé•a when they host the Dallas Mavericks on March 8 at STAPLES Center.
Noches éne•bé•a 2015, which will feature 14 games during the month of March and special team jerseys, will also include special telecasts, in-arena festivities, and distinctive NBA team uniforms to be worn by eight teams. Additionally, all 30 NBA teams will wear specially designed Noches éne•bé•a shooting shirts from adidas, the league’s official oncourt apparel provider, during the first two weeks of March. The celebrations will be supported by television and radio advertising on both English- and Spanish-language media across the country as well as unique content on the league’s Spanish-language Web site, enebea.com, and its English and Spanish-language social media pages.
“We take immense pride in the initiatives and programs we’ve undertaken with Spanish speaking and Hispanic communities throughout our history, and are happy to continue these efforts by participating in this league program,” said Lakers President Jeanie Buss.
Noches éne•bé•a merchandise is now available at NBAStore.com, NBA Store on Fifth Avenue in New York City, NBAStore.eu, and in-arena stores for participating teams.
