MVP: It’s Jordan Clarkson. And the fact that he didn’t play a single minute in the fourth quarter is inexcusable. He’s clearly a big piece of the Lakers’ future, so the decision to not play him down the stretch in a game he was dominating is unforgivable, especially for someone like Jeremy Lin who likely won’t be with the franchise next year.
LVP: Byron Scott. I’m not nearly as upset about the win. That’s fine, given the right circumstances. And those circumstances include playing the players who are the future of your franchise.
Stat of the Night: 50-49. In the game preview we did with Behind The Buck Pass, I stated the importance of controlling the boards against Milwaukee’s size. The Lakers did just that, with every player who played having grabbed at least three rebounds. Big key in the Lakers victory.
