Final. 97. 211. 90. 20

MVP: This one is a no brainer, Jordan Clarkson had a career high 25 points against one of the better defensive teams in the league. He got off to a hot start in the first quarter and was efficient throughout the game. This kid’s future is bright. He is one player Laker fans should be excited about.

LVP: Two players get the honor tonight.Ryan Kelly and Robert Sacre are both starters and they combined for 0 points and three rebounds. They were horrible tonight and the Lakers could have sealed this win if they had contributed.

Stat of the Night: 9. The Lakers had nine blocks against the Grizzlies. Although it resulted in a loss, the Lakers had a block party in Memphis. Ed Davis and Tarik Black had two blocks a piece, but Jeremy Lin surprised everyone with three blocks of his own.

The Starters

B+. 34 min, 6-13 FG, 2-2 3P, 0-0 FT, 14 PTS, 3 REB, 2 AST, 1 STL, 0 BLK, 1 TO
Ellington was arguably the second best Laker tonight. He scored 14 points and was very efficient. He is a big reason the Lakers almost won this game.
. SG. Los Angeles Lakers. WAYNE ELLINGTON

PF. Los Angeles Lakers. CARLOS BOOZER. C. 28 min, 3-8 FG, 1-2 FT, 7 PTS, 9 REB, 3 AST, 2 STL, 0 BLK, 0 TO
Boozer didn’t have his best game tonight, while he grabbed nine boards, he wasn’t able to produce offensively and that hurt the Lakers down the stretch.

A. 36 min, 12-18 FG, 1-3 3P, 0-0 FT, 25 PTS, 4 REB, 6 AST, 0 STL, 0 BLK, 2 TO
Clarkson continues to impress and today he was easily the player of the game for the Lakers. He was able to score several different ways and shot great from the field. Didn’t get to the line, but that’s something he will improve.
. PG. Los Angeles Lakers. JORDAN CLARKSON

F. 17 min, 0-5 FG, 0-2 3P, 0-0 FT, 0 PTS, 1 REB, 1 AST, 0 STL, 0 BLK, 1 TO
The stat line speaks for itself. Kelly had a terrible game, hopefully he is able to bounce back.
. PF. Los Angeles Lakers. RYAN KELLY

F. 15 min, 0-3 FG, 0-0 FT, 0 PTS, 2 REB, 2 AST, 0 STL, 1 BLK, 0 TO
Like Kelly, Sacre had a horrendous showing as well and was not able to contribute much. Even if you can’t score, a big body like Sacre must be active on the glass.
. C. Los Angeles Lakers. ROBERT SACRE

The Bench

PF. Los Angeles Lakers. ED DAVIS. B. 20 min, 5-5 FG, 0-0 FT, 10 PTS, 5 REB, 1 AST, 0 STL, 2 BLK, 1 TO
Davis was a factor tonight, which is even more impressive considering the Grizzlies have one of the better front lines in the game. Davis came to play today and it showed.

B-. 24 min, 6-15 FG, 1-2 FT, 13 PTS, 8 REB, 1 AST, 0 STL, 0 BLK, 3 TO
Hill had a shot to hit a shot late to give the Lakers the lead, but he couldn’t convert. He still had decent numbers and was himself on the glass.
. C. Los Angeles Lakers. JORDAN HILL

JEREMY LIN. C-. 27 min, 1-5 FG, 0-1 3P, 2-2 FT, 4 PTS, 4 REB, 3 AST, 2 STL, 3 BLK, 0 TO
Lin didn’t have the greatest game today, but he still contributed in different ways. He had three blocked shots, but didn’t have the greatest shooting display.
. PG. Los Angeles Lakers

B. 30 min, 5-11 FG, 2-4 3P, 2-2 FT, 14 PTS, 5 REB, 1 AST, 1 STL, 0 BLK, 1 TO
The Lakers had some stretches there where they looked like they were destined to win and Johnson was making plays throughout the course of the game. He made some bad decisions at the end of the game, but overall he deserves a good grade.
. SF. Los Angeles Lakers. WESLEY JOHNSON
