With 20 games left in the regular season, the Lakers do not have anything to be excited about. Players with expiring deals are playing for a new contract, but as a team, the Lakers have had one of the most disappointing years in franchise history.

You can’t put the blame on one single person, but injuries could be the biggest factor to yet another losing season. With so many season ending injuries, the Laker roster is depleted and they applied for a hardship waiver that allows them to add a 16th player to the roster.
Nick Young is still nursing a knee injury and the Lakers have lost five straight, so they need some new blood. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Lakers have signed Jabari Brown to a 10-Day contract:
Brown had been playing with the Lakers D-League affiliate Defenders and has averaged 24.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. The Lakers needed another body and while Brown will not get much time in the floor, you don’t know if somebody else will get injured.
Brown played at Missouri and was teammates with Jordan Clarkson, so he will have a familiar face he can count on. Brown has some impressive stats in the D-League, it will interesting to see how he performs if he is given the chance to play.
