Game Grades: Sixers Once Again Tank Better Than Lakers
By Alex Torres
Note: We’ll be grading the players on how well they contributed to the tank.
MVP: Jordan Hill goes from having a career game against Brooklyn, to only scoring five points against the Sixers in 22 minutes. He fouled out of the game, but he did finish with 10 rebounds. His three turnovers were also helpful, but in the end it would not matter. The Sixers can simply tank better than the Lakers.
LVP: Plenty of players to pick here, but I have to go with Jordan Clarkson, he was clutch down the stretch and assured the Lakers the victory. Not only does he finish with 26 points, 11 assists and 6 rebounds, but he was able to force the game into overtime with his free throw shooting and hit the game winner in OT.
Stat of the Night: 47.6 percent. That’s the Lakers shooting percentage from beyond the arc. They almost hit half of the three pointers they took, which was important in a game that was decided by two points. One more miss by the Lakers and they might have lost this game.
