Lakers News: Jeremy Lin Out For The Season

Jeremy Lin will not be one of those players. According to Mike Trudell of TWC SportsNet, Lin is officially out for the season due to his knee soreness:

Not a surprising move at this point. The Lakers have no interest in these last three games and Lin wants to head into free agency healthy in hopes of fielding several offers. Lin will finish the season averaging 11.2 points and 4.6 assists per game.

Lin played much better in the second half of the season, but this knee injury slowed him down at the end of the year. However, he played well enough to show that he can be a valuable piece on a contending team.
