Lakers News: Steve Nash Will Train Young PGs

For the most part, one could argue Steve Nash did more damage to the Lakers as a member of the team than he ever could as a Phoenix Sun. Now, it appears he’s ready to make good on the contract he was given and hardly lived up to.

Clarkson and Nash worked out near the end of last season, and one would think he benefited greatly from one of the greatest offensive minds in we’ve ever seen take an NBA court. Clarkson, a vastly superior athlete plus Nash’s mental edge would be an absolute monster.

D’Angelo Russell, on the other hand, plays a much more similar game to Nash than his partner in the back court. If he can manage angles the way Nash used to, especially in the pick and roll, at his size, look out.

Both players could definitely benefit greatly from shooting-centric practices alongside Nash. You know, seeing as Nash will go down as potentially the greatest shooter in league history.

Now, I’d be perfectly fine not hearing rumors about Clarkson and Russell not learning from Nash on the defensive end of the court. Yeah, I’m still bitter about that contract.
