In case you missed it, watch the Phoenix Suns terrific tribute video to Kobe Bryant

Tribute videos have become happenstance over the course of Kobe Bryant’s “Farewell Tour,” but the Phoenix Suns did a splendid job putting their’s together, presenting it during Wednesday night’s game.

Similar to what other teams had been doing, the Suns made sure to include some of the Black Mamba’s greatest moments, even ones that involved them being on the short end of the stick.

The classical music paired with the overarching dark theme of the entire video perfectly suits Bryant who has always been more Dark Knight than Superman.

Kobe Bryant and the Phoenix Suns have shared a heated rivalry for the better part of his career, so to see the mutual respect given at the end of the day shows truly how important Kobe has been to the game of basketball.

Per Mark Medina of the LA Daily News, Kobe succinctly revealed his relationship with Phoenix:

"“I hated them. They stopped me from getting a championship twice,” Bryant said. “The relationship was a love-hate relationship. I hated the fact that they were that good and kept us winning. But at the same time, I loved how good they were and I knew we had to be better.”"

More over, Shahan Ahmed of NBC Sports shared,

"“That was a real rivalry to me,” Bryant would say about his back and forth with Phoenix over the years. “The Sacramento thing wasn’t really because we beat them every time. Phoenix, they kicked our butts. We had to bounce back, overcome them, and that’s a true rivalry.”"

Kobe Bryant has voiced similar sentiments about facing the San Antonio Spurs and other teams that made him better several times during his farewell tour. KB24 has never been one to shy away from a challenge and his statements, even now, still resonate that belief.

Time is ticking down for the Mamba and with only 11 games left in his career, fans can fully expect him to at least try to suit up on every given night in order to give them exactly what they came for.
