Lakers head coach Byron Scott is going to show how to ‘man up’ by example and will finish the rest of the season as a player-coach
For the past two seasons, Los Angeles Lakers head coach Byron Scott has preached his gospel to his players about how they need to toughen up if they were ever going to be a winning team in the NBA. He’s time and again given his overall mantra and mission statement as a head coach: Man up!
Well now Byron Scott is going to show the Lakers just exactly how you “man up” in the NBA.
Unconfirmed reports say that the Lakers head coach will take off the suit and tie and will finish the remaining fraction of the 2015-16 NBA season as a player-coach. Scott will bring the Showtime Lakers to the 21st Century as he dons the purple and gold once again.

Fans are waiting with bated breath to see Scott set an example of just how you “man up” in the NBA. D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, and Julius Randle as the young core of the Lakers will get a front row seat into just what it takes to be a man in the NBA. Just saying the words isn’t working for Scott in the Lakers; he has to show it.
In addition to showing his team just what it takes to “man up,” Scott will also show the player exactly how to run his expertly drawn plays that the young players have just been messing up all season (because why else would they not be working).
The only concern, though, is that Byron might be the cause of many turnovers for the Lakers as he assumes his new role as player-coach. After all, it’s hard to catch passes when your arms are crossed.
Happy April Fools Day, everybody—thank heavens this is only a joke.
