Kobe Bryant already seems to be fully embracing his movie making ambitions for life after basketball

Kobe Bryant has starred in his fair share of commercials, but this may be his funniest spot to date.

Alongside up-and-coming actor Michael B. Jordan, who has starred in movies such as Creed, Fruitvale Station, and is not Michael Jordan’s son, Kobe shows off the acting chops he’s developed since coming to Los Angeles 20 years ago.

In the spot entitled “Father Time,” Jordan plays the actor cast to portray Kobe Bryant in a fictional film about the rise and decline of the Black Mamba. Kobe, however, doesn’t appreciate this.

"“Like a hero, on the verge of a steep decline, it’s perfect!”“There’s no decline, it’s all ascension”"

Sure, it may be a made up movie, but I’d pay good money to see Michael B. Jordan as Kobe Bryant through and through — “make up and prosthetics,” and all.

Growing up on Kobe Bryant, it’s strange to see this side of KB24, when all you are accustomed to is Kobe the cold blooded killer.

The Kobe who drills a dagger right in front of your bench then proceeds to tap your coach on the tush. The Kobe who scores 81 on your team then walks off the court like it’s no big deal. The Kobe who relentlessly blocks kids who challenge him to one-on-one.

The end is near and I can feel the tears already beginning to well, but it is nice to know that Kobe will still be doing work off the basketball court when it’s all said and done.
