Jalen Rose, who Kobe Bryant scored 81 on, reacted to Mamba scoring 60 in his final game of his career

Before Wednesday night as Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Utah Jazz in the final game of his legendary NBA career, undoubtedly the most famous game of No. 24’s career came against the Toronto Raptors and then Raptors guard Jalen Rose. That would, of course, be the game where Bryant put up an absurd 81 points.

Though it’s not anything that any player wants as a part of their history, Rose has always admirably owned up to the way that he was eviscerated by Kobe Bryant on that day. There was nothing he could’ve done about it and he admits that he simply got lit up in historic fashion back in 2006.

However, Kobe Bryant might have a new most famous game as he came out and dropped 60 points and carried the Lakers to a win in the last game of his career. It was truly a remarkable performance and one that Lakers fans needed to sort of have closure with a hero of this generation.

After such a performance comparable to the 81-point game, Jalen Rose chimed in to once again just admire the determination, skill, and consistency of Kobe:

Though it’s an odd connection between these two players, it’s fantastic to see just how much respect Kobe Bryant demands. There aren’t players that can compare to the longevity of his career and the sustained level of individual success that he enjoyed. Fans have always seen it and appreciate it, but it feels good to see Rose and other people of a similar ilk recognize it as well.
