Nike has done it yet again, this time having Kobe Bryant star as ‘The Conductor’ in their latest commercial for the retiring superstar
Another day, another epic Nike Kobe Bryant commercial.
As a Lakers fan, Kobe has caused our fair share of sadness and despair, especially with his last bout with injuries, but it is nowhere compared to the amount of pain he inflicted on other franchises — especially to the Portland Trailblazers and the Sacramento Kings of the league.

Starring other basketball greats like Rasheed Wallace, and I didn’t think I’d ever hear these words come out of my mouth, Paul Pierce, and even Phil Jackson, Kobe plays the conductor to all of their miseries.
In the past week alone, Nike has put out three great commercials to send off the Black Mamba, but this is by far the most creative and entertaining of them all.
Who knew Sheed could sing? He sure couldn’t a few years ago when he was asked to sing “Jingle Bells” for the Detroit Pistons. Nothing a little auto tune can’t fix.

On a more serious note, I wasn’t sure how I would handle Kobe’s departure from the league but now that it is finally here, the cliche of “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened,” is close at hand.
