Kobe finished the night with 60 points, on 22-of-50 shooting, adding four rebounds, four assists, a steal and one nostalgic block along the way. The Black Mamba’s performance was the highest point outburst this season by any player slightly edging out Anthony Davis’ 59 point gem, making him the oldest player ever to hit 60.
If that wasn’t enough, in addition to doing so, Kobe broke Michael Jordan‘s record for most field goal attempts in a game since 1983, along with his own previous high of 47 attempts in 2002.
More over, during the game Kobe surpassed 10,000 free throw attempts, just narrowly missing 1500 career offensive rebounds, falling one board short at 1499.
When it comes to Kobe, for the better part of 20 years, the only thing that has mattered is winning games, so it is only right that he go out with his 37th game winning basket, one for every year of his age.
