Taking a look at when the Lakers schedule for the 2016-17 season will be released
The past two seasons have been nothing short of abysmal for the Los Angeles Lakers. After thinking that it couldn’t possibly get any worse following a 21-win 2014-15 season, the Lakers indeed got worse with only 17 wins this past year. Subsequently, all eyes are on the future for this team in hopes that things can turn around in the 2016-17 NBA season
Obviously there are many factors that will determine if that happens or not. You obviously first have to look at things like the development of D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, and Julius Randle (among others) going into the 2016-17 season. However, there is also a new coach in town in Luke Walton and you have to wonder how much of a positive impact his arrival will have on the team right out of the gate.
Moreover, there is the impact of the veteran free agents that the Lakers signed in Timofey Mozgov and Luol Deng that has to be taken into account as they could potentially affect the Lakers record in a positive or negative way depending on how things play out.

One overlooked factor in all of this, though, is simply the effect that the Lakers schedule could have on how the team fares. While the NBA is different from the NFL in that the 82-game schedule means essentially that every team in the Western Conference plays virtually the same schedule, things like the number of back-to-backs, tough road trips, and much more in the Lakers schedule could influence how the season goes.
Subsequently, many fans must be wondering when the Lakers schedule for the 2016-17 is going to be released.
Unfortunately, we don’t have definitive information about when the 2016-17 Lakers schedule will be released just yet—but we do know that it will be coming some time in August. Given how past years have gone, the safe assumption would be some time in the middle of the month.
So keep your eyes peeled for when that schedule drops as it could legitimately make a difference in whether the Lakers show noticeable improvement or stay relatively awful.
