Lakers: Lou Williams Plans For Life After Basketball
By Eric Yee
Lou Williams had an interesting answer to what he would be doing if he weren’t playing basketball for the Los Angeles Lakers
The age old question players seem to get asked at every basketball camp is, if they weren’t playing basketball, what would they being doing instead? Most players answer with something along the lines of, “Honestly, I couldn’t even tell you, basketball is such a huge part of my life,” but Lakers’ guard, Lou Williams isn’t most players.
Like the rest of his teammates enjoying their brief vacations before the start of training camp, Lou Williams is currently in Miami, Florida living it up and judging by this quick Instagram video, it’s pretty easy to deduce what I mean by “living it up.”
However, while on vacation, obviously having some spare time play, but more likely, watch some volleyball on Miami Beach, Lou Will revealed, “If I didn’t have a jumper, I’d def be a beach volleyball pro lol.”

Judging by his past relationship status, the reason is, again, pretty simple to understand but what if he wasn’t kidding. Only posting a picture of a red, white and blue volleyball and no video to clarify, who knows maybe Lou Williams is truly the next volleyballer in the line of Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh.
How great would it be to see Sweet Lou representing Team USA in Men’s Beach Volleyball after retiring from the NBA? Maybe he could partner up with Coach Luke Walton and dominate the field? I mean, he is 6’1 so that has to count for something.
In all seriousness, it’s refreshing to hear from Lou Williams who seems to be enjoying his time off and knows how to separate business from pleasure if only briefly.
