As Lakers’ fans around the world tread water during the quietest days of the pro basketball calendar, almost any update on our beloved Purple and Gold is welcomed

Recently, we’ve found respite in the form of one Jordan Clarkson, who has been active lately, sitting down for an interview with Hypebeast magazine and popping up occasionally on social media news. Clarkson even let it be known that he is a Pokemon Go stan to boast his already impressive following.

Despite routinely appearing in tabloid drivel, Clarkson has been saying and doing all the right things this offseason from a basketball perspective.

From posting videos of himself at work in the gym or discussing his loyalty to and passion for the Lakers franchise, the former 46th overall pick has given up much reason for optimism for his upcoming campaign and continues to cement his label as “steal” of the 2014 NBA Draft.

Still, we wouldn’t be doing our job if we didn’t talk about both sides of the theoretical coin, right? Without darkness, there can be no light, or something like that.
