The Los Angeles Lakers’ decision on who to draft with the number two pick is getting tougher by the day.

The Los Angeles Lakers do not have much more time to prep. The 2017 NBA Draft is fast approaching and several betting sites, such as TopBet.eu, have already put up lines for scenarios where Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball end up going first and second, respectively.

But as of this posting, nothing is sure yet — the Lakers are still uncertain which exciting new piece they’ll add to their rebuilding efforts.

On Tuesday, Josh Jackson went through his second workout with the Lakers, the first prospect to do so. Jackson is a small forward coming out from the Kansas who is best known for his athleticism and defense.

After the workout, Jackson said it could be “really special” to play alongside Brandon Ingram, the Lakers second overall pick from the 2016 draft. According to tweets from Lakers reporter Mike Trudell, Jackson also touched a little bit on his versatility, saying he is capable of guarding multiple positions.

Jackson said he is a “great passer” and his strengths are “being quick, versatile, athletic,” but he also admittedly told the media he is willing to work on aspects of his game that need much improvement on, like shooting and ball handling.

Before Jackson came in for his second workout, the Lakers also brought De’Aaron Fox for his first which the Kentucky guard thought “went well.” Here is the full interview from Jackson following his work out.

Will Ball get a second workout as well?

The Lakers might also try to get a second look at Lonzo Ball after reports came out indicating they weren’t impressed with his conditioning in the first workout he participated in last week.

According to Mark Medina of the LA Daily News, Ball is likely to get a second workout and Fultz may be brought in by the Lakers as well.

Weeks ago, it was widely rumored Ball would most likely end up with the ‘purple and gold’ but with all these workouts that have been happening the last few days, everything is still up in the air.

The Lakers are doing everything they can to gauge all these prospects and study how each of them can fit on the team before they make a very important decision on June 22.
