The Los Angeles Lakers will be starting their quest for a Summer League title on Friday. Do the fans think they can win it?

It has been a busy offseason so far for the Los Angeles Lakers. Just prior to the NBA Draft, the Lakers made a big move that they hope will help set themselves up nicely for the offseason in 2018.

One of the things that the D’Angelo Russell trade did for the Lakers gave them more young assets. In addition to acquiring Lopez, the Lakers also received the 27th overall pick. With two picks in the later part of the first round, the Lakers actually traded down to the 30th spot and picked up an additional second round draft pick.

In the draft alone, the Lakers were able to add Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart, and Thomas Bryant. With all four being drafted this season, they will be playing on the Lakers’ Summer League team.

In addition to the rookies coming in, the Lakers will have Brandon Ingram and Ivica Zubac on the team as well. With all of these talented young players, the Lakers have a real chance to impress this summer.

They will be entering the Summer League as one of the favorites to win the title, and deservingly so. Recently we polled Lakers fans about whether or not they thought the team would bring home the Summer League crown. Here’s what the results were.

As you can see, the overwhelming answer was that they will win the title. With the aforementioned talent, the Lakers certainly have a chance to win the whole thing.

Since the Lakers will be heading to Las Vegas with a lot of new faces, it will be interesting to see what kind of natural chemistry there is. Luckily for the Lakers, having an unselfish point guard like Ball leading the way should help set up teammates for easy baskets. With the Summer League in Las Vegas almost here, we won’t  have to wait much longer to see the young core of the Lakers in action.
