In the middle of a busy offseason, the Los Angeles Lakers will have their young core on display as they travel to Las Vegas.
This summer, the Lakers were able to get their man with the second overall pick. After all of the talk leading up to the NBA Draft, Lonzo Ball was in fact drafted by the Lakers. After a great season at UCLA, the Lakers are hoping Ball will be a leader for them on the court at the point guard position.
In addition to Ball, the Lakers also drafted three other players. With the 27th pick, that was acquired from the Brooklyn Nets, the Lakers selected power forward Kyle Kuzma from Stanford.
After taking Kuzma, the Lakers traded with the Utah Jazz to get the 30th overall pick and an additional selection in the second round. The Lakers would then use these two picks on Josh Hart and Thomas Bryant.
