In the loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night, the Los Angeles Lakers also suffered a scare when Brandon Ingram went down on the final shot of regulation.

It was a tough night for the Los Angeles Lakers in their first Summer League game. Despite coming into the Summer League with a lot of talent, the Lakers were unable to defeat the Los Angeles Clippers.

One of the players that fans were excited to see on Friday night was Brandon Ingram. After a somewhat disappointing rookie season, Ingram has worked hard this offseason to improve. With his jump shot struggling last season, that was a focus of Ingram this offseason.

As a second-year player in the Summer League, Ingram was expected to dominate on the court. It became quite obvious early on that Ingram was going to do just that. In the loss, Ingram totaled 26 points, three assists, three steals, and three blocks. One of the most encouraging things for Ingram was how well he shot from the field. He was able to go 9-for-17 from the field, and also went 7-for-8 from the free throw line.

The hard work put in by Ingram in the offseason was on full display, as he looked much more confident in his jump shot. As the leading scorer, Ingram certainly lived up to expectations on Friday night.

Unfortunately, Ingram was unable to play in the overtime session after missing a possible game-winning shot. After the miss, Ingram was on the ground and there was obviously panic for Los Angeles.

Ingram was able to get up after a bit of a minute, as he fell victim to a cramp. Despite looking like he wanted to continue to play, Magic Johnson gave the order to sit Ingram for the rest of the game.
