Los Angeles Lakers: Top 5 Games to watch in 2017-2018 season
4. The Russell and Magic Reunion
November 3 vs. Brooklyn Nets
At first glance, this game might seem like a matchup of two of the worst teams in the NBA, which is technically correct. However, thanks to Magic Johnson, it is now more than just that. This will be the first game D’Angelo Russell will play against the Lakers at Staples Center since being traded across the country before the draft.
I look forward to seeing what D-Lo does to the Lakers, how he reacts to seeing Magic, what reaction he gets from the fans, and the warm embrace of him and his old teammates. Sorry, Brook Lopez but no one cares about your return to Brooklyn.
All in all this matchup won’t be the best game of the season nor will it break any viewing records. It will be, however, another exciting game for Lakers fans to watch and after the last three seasons we have had, we’ll take all the games we can get.
Russell is no stranger to putting up some big numbers in the Staples Center. With revenge for being traded surely on his mind, this could be a game for Russell to shine in.
