Putting in the time

The gold standard for the Lakers when it comes to work ethic is Kobe Bryant. It would be hard to argue any player ever has pulled more ability out of natural talent than Kobe, which he himself attributes to being the hardest worker.

Kuzma would do well to set himself the goal of being the first player in the gym and the last out every day. Clearly, he has natural talents. However, if he was off the charts athletic he wouldn’t have slid to number 27 in the 2017 NBA Draft.

In Kuzma’s case, he has the basic tools and he is athletic enough that he has starting power forward or small forward potential. If he wants to set the goal of earning a starting position on an NBA team, Kuzma just needs to put in the work; a lot of work.

There has already been talk of Kuzma being labeled the steal of the draft. If he sets goals for himself to become a quality defender, an excellent three-point shooter and is willing to put in the time, the sky is the limit for Mr. Kuzma.
