The Los Angeles Lakers host the Denver Nuggets tonight, October 2nd, at the STAPLES Center. Here is all the information you need to watch the game.
The Los Angeles Lakers preseason got off on the wrong foot over the weekend as they lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves. They will look to get into the win column for the first time this preseason tonight as they host the Denver Nuggets in Los Angeles.
The Lakers had some trouble inside against the Timberwolves. With Brook Lopez and Andrew Bogut sidelined, Karl-Anthony Towns, Taj Gibson and Gorgui Dieng took advantage. The Lakers will once again be without Lopez and Bogut, so they will have to step it up on the interior if they want to slow down the Nuggets.
The Nuggets come into this game after defeating the Golden State Warriors in their preseason open. Denver defeated Golden State 108-102. It was the first time their new frontcourt duo got to play together and the performance has got to have Nuggets fans excited.

Denver has one of the best frontcourt duos in the NBA. After selecting Nikola Jokic in the second round of the 2015 NBA Draft, the Nuggets signed Paul Millsap this offseason to pair with him in the frontcourt. That duo will give plenty of teams headaches this season and will be tough to slow down.
With the two big men sidelined again, Ivica Zubac should have another opportunity to shine. Zubac played well against the Timberwolves, stuffing the stat sheet off the bench. He and Kyle Kuzma were two of the best players on the night for the Lakers.
Once again all eyes will be on Lonzo Ball. Ball’s shot wasn’t falling in the preseason opener, but he looked good overall. He got teammates involved with eight assists and hit the glass for seven rebounds. That is the same type of all-around performance he showcased in the Las Vegas Summer League.
Can Ball pick things up offensively just like he did in Las Vegas? Head coach Luke Walton is hoping so, saying Ball needs to get more aggressive looking for his shot.
That is one of the things to keep an eye on when the Lakers and Nuggets take the court tonight. Another thing to watch for is how the Lakers try and slow down Millsap and Jokic. Can do they do a better job of it than the Warriors did?
We will have to wait and find out. Can’t figure out how to watch the game? Don’t worry, we have you covered. Here is all the information you need to watch the Lakers and Nuggets tonight.
