The Los Angeles Lakers host the Brooklyn Nets on November 3rd, 2017 at the STAPLES Center. Here is all the information you need to watch the game.

The Los Angeles Lakers finish up a back-to-back set tonight. After losing to the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday night in a hard fought game, the Lakers will host the Brooklyn Nets Friday night.

The Lakers and Nets come into the game with identical 3-5 records. The Nets will be looking for their first road victory of the season, as they are 0-3 thus far away from Barclays Center. The Lakers, meanwhile, are 2-3 thus far at home.

Normally matchups between out of conference teams don’t carry much interest. That will not be the case tonight, as this will be an emotional game.

This will be the first time D’Angelo Russell returns to Los Angeles since the Lakers traded him this offseason. He will be motivated to show his old team that they made the wrong decision in trading him.

More from Lakers News

You can bet he will be motivated to face off with Lonzo Ball, his replacement. Ball better be ready, as Russell will undoubtedly bring it to him. Ball will have to find his aggression offensively, as he was nonexistent against the Blazers last night.

This will also be the first time that Brook Lopez goes against his old team. Lopez was sent to the Lakers, along with the 27th pick, which turned into Kyle Kuzma, for Russell and Timofey Mozgov. Lopez is coming off his best game as a Laker, as he scored 27 points in 29 minutes. He will also have some added motivation to perform against his old team.

Tonight will also be the first game without Larry Nance Jr. Nance Jr. fractured a bone in his left hand and will miss multiple weeks. Luke Walton will have a big decision to make. Who will replace Nance Jr. in the starting lineup, and subsequently pick up Nance Jr.’s minutes?

Julius Randle and Kyle Kuzma figure to pick up the bulk of Nance Jr.’s minutes, but Walton will have to reconfigure his rotation until Nance Jr. is ready to return to the court.
