At only 20 years and 15 days old, Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball is the youngest player in NBA history to ever record a triple-double.

En route to a 98-90 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on the road, Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball made NBA history when he recorded his first ever triple-double. Lonzo tallied 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 assists, doing his best to lead the Lakers to a victory.

Many members of the NBA fanbase gave Lonzo their praise for a spectacular night, including Lakers legend Magic Johnson.

However, the record-breaking performance did not mean much to him as it came in a loss. Lonzo remarked:

"I really don’t care,” Ball said. “We took a loss, so it really doesn’t mean nothing."

Just before the game had started, Bucks head coach Jason Kidd commented on the young rookie. He said that it was a “stretch” to even compare both of them. Lonzo was struggling from the field prior to the Kidd interview.

Bucks head coach Jason Kidd remarked on Ball’s amazing night:

"“The triple-double is going to be the norm for him. He’s going to fill up stat sheets. We just need to give him time.”"

Lakers head coach Luke Walton also chimed in, praising Ball for his “win-first mentality.”

"“What’s great about him is [that]… it’s about the loss. It’s not about his stats. That’s the type of person… player… teammate he is.”"

Ball entered the game struggling with his shot. He came into the matchup with the Bucks shooting at 29 percent from the field and 22 percent from beyond the three-point line. However, he put together a strong performance against the Bucks, shooting 7-12 from the floor and 3-5 from deep.

The opinions of Lonzo Ball have swayed through a roller coaster during his rookie campaign. Even though the Lakers are 5-8, Ball’s play should be encouraging for Lakers fans. Ball looks to reinforce his efforts against a highly inconsistent Suns team looking for stability on Monday.
