The Los Angeles Lakers host the Phoenix Suns tonight at the STAPLES Center. Here is all the information you need to watch or listen to the game!
The Los Angeles Lakers homestand didn’t get off to the start they had hoped for. Los Angeles lost to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday as Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons proved too much to handle. The Lakers will now look to get their first victory of the homestand tonight against the Phoenix Suns.
This is actually the second time the Lakers and Suns will match up this week, and third time this season. The Lakers won both of the previous meetings, both of which were on the road. In the first matchup, the Lakers won 132-130. On Monday, the Lakers were victorious with a score of 100-93.
The two victories could not have been much different. The first matchup was a track meet. Essentially, the team who had the ball last would win as they scored a combined 262 points. The second matchup was more defensive minded, as the two teams combined for fewer than 200 points.
One player who stepped up in a big way for the Lakers in both games was Jordan Clarkson. Clarkson has had an excellent start to the season. In two games against the Suns, Clarkson has scored 42 points with five rebounds, four assists and one steal. Kyle Kuzma also scored in double figures in both games.
