The Los Angeles Lakers host the Golden State Warriors tonight, November 29th, at the STAPLES Center. Here is all the information you need to watch and listen to the game!
The Los Angeles Lakers will face their stiffest test of the season tonight at the STAPLES Center. The Lakers will be hosting the Warriors, the first of four matchups this season between the California rivals.
The Lakers come into the game with a record of 8-12 and on a two-game losing streak. The Warriors are coming into tonight’s game off a loss as well, as the Sacramento Kings defeated them on Monday night. Tonight is the first game of a six-game road trip for the Warriors, so you know they will be looking to get off to a good start.
While the Lakers and Warriors are separated by 6.5 games in the standings, tonight’s matchup will draw a lot of attention. That is because it will be the first time that Lonzo Ball and Stephen Curry to head-to-head.
A lot of the hype surrounding the matchup has been because of Lonzo’s father, LaVar Ball. Ball has said some outlandish thing, but arguably the most outlandish was when he said that Lonzo was better than Curry.
Sure, in time Ball could become a better player than Curry. Right now, there is no debate about who is better. Ball isn’t even the best rookie on his own team; that designation would probably go to forward Kyle Kuzma, who has proven all his draft day doubters wrong already.

Tonight’s matchup will be a good one as the second best 3-point shooting team, the Warriors, faces the best 3-point defense in the NBA in the Lakers. Yes, the Lakers, who have had some truly embarrassing defensive efforts this season, are the best team in the NBA at defending the 3-point line.
Tonight their effort will have to be at maximum level. In addition to Curry, the Warriors have other sharpshooting scoring threats in Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant. Former Lakers shooting guard Nick Young has also shot the ball well this season and has made it clear he is looking to destroy his old team.
To keep up with the Warriors, expect to see a lot of Julius Randle, Larry Nance Jr. and Kuzma in the frontcourt. The Lakers are better equipped to play small this season than in years past, so expect to see plenty of it. This is not a great matchup for Brook Lopez, but the Lakers could get going early if they can get Lopez going against smaller lineups.
Will Lopez help the Lakers snap their losing streak, or will the Warriors get their road trip off on the right foot with a victory? We will have to watch and find out! Here is all the information you need to watch and listen to the game.
