The Los Angeles Lakers host the Charlotte Hornets tonight at the STAPLES Center. Here is all the information you need to watch or listen to the game!

The Los Angeles Lakers are struggling mightily. They are on an eight-game losing streak, getting handled rather easily on an almost nightly basis. Tonight they will look to snap that losing streak against the Charlotte Hornets.

The game tonight against the Hornets is the second game on the Lakers five-game homestand. The homestand did not get off to a great start, as they were blown out by the Oklahoma City Thunder in embarrassing fashion, 133-96.

However, there are some things working in the Lakers favor tonight. For one, the schedule is an advantage in their direction.

The Lakers are in the middle of their homestand, while tonight is the Hornets getaway game. The Hornets end a four-game road trip tonight, one they have already guaranteed themselves at least a .500 mark on. With a long trip back home on the horizon, they could already be packing their bags and ready to head back home.

In addition to the scheduling advantage, the Lakers are getting healthier. Brook Lopez returned earlier in the week from his ankle injury. Tonight, rookie point guard Lonzo Ball is expected to be back.

Ball has missed the last six games because of a shoulder ailment. He is listed as probable for tonight’s game and is hopeful that he will be back in the lineup.

The Lakers will be happy to have him back. They have looked lost on both ends of the court without Ball. The offense has become stagnant, while the defense has plummetted to embarrassing levels.

While an eight-game losing streak will drain the confidence of any team, the Lakers should have some coming into this game. The Lakers already own a victory over the Hornets this season.

Back on December 9th during their east coast trip, the Lakers defeated the Hornets at the Spectrum Center 110-99. Outside of an upset victory over the Houston Rockets on December 20th, the win over the Hornets is the most recent victory for the Lakers.

Can the Lakers defeat the Hornets for a second time this season? Or will the Hornets help add another game to the Lakers’ losing streak? We will have to watch and find out!
