The Los Angeles Lakers host the Atlanta Hawks on January 7th, 2018. Here is all the information you need to watch the game!
The Los Angeles Lakers losing streak hit nine games after a loss to the Charlotte Hornets. The Lakers homestand is not off to a great start, as they haven’t been competitive yet in the first two games. If they want to snap that losing streak and get back in the win column, tonight is the best chance they will have.
The Lakers will be hosting the Atlanta Hawks tonight. The Hawks are the only team in the NBA with a worse record than the Lakers.
The Hawks come into tonight’s game with a record of 10-27. While they have the worst mark in the NBA, they have been playing much better basketball as of late. Atlanta is on a two-game losing streak, but they have won three of their past six games. That is more than the Lakers can say, as they have won three games in about six weeks.
If the Lakers lose this game, they will have the distinction of being the worst team in the NBA. That is a distinction they would like to avoid.

If they want to avoid being the worst team in the NBA, the Lakers must come out with some energy and urgency. They have looked lifeless in recent weeks, as the effort level that was evident earlier in the season has disappeared.
One thing working in the Lakers favor is that they are getting healthier. Lonzo Ball returned to the lineup in their last game against the Hornets. Brook Lopez also returned last week, so the Lakers rotation is getting back to where it was when they were finding more success.
Defensively, the Lakers will have their hands full with point guard Dennis Schroder. Schroder leads the Hawks with 19.6 points and 6.7 assists per game, both career-highs for the 24-year old.
If the Lakers want to pick up the win, slowing down Schroder is a must. He is the engine that makes the Hawks offense go.
Will the Lakers be able to slow Schroder down and get the victory? Or will Schroder keep the Lakers losing streak alive? We will have to watch and see! Here is all the information you need to watch and listen to the game tonight.
