The Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies face off this afternoon in Memphis. Here is all the information you need to watch or listen to the game!
The Los Angeles Lakers have gotten things on track in the recent week. After ending their homestand on a three-game winning streak, the Lakers picked up their fourth straight win on the road against the Dallas Mavericks this weekend. This afternoon, the Lakers will look to make it five straight victories against the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies have been struggling on the court recently as they are playing without point guard Mike Conley and forward Chandler Parsons. This is a good spot for the Lakers to pick up a victory, but they are struggling with injuries of their own.
Rookie point guard Lonzo Ball is dealing with some knee soreness. He underwent an MRI Sunday following a 43-minute game against the Mavericks on Saturday. The MRI revealed a minor left knee sprain, and he is questionable for today’s game against the Grizzlies.
In addition to Ball, the Lakers could also be without Brandon Ingram. Ingram injured his left ankle against the Mavericks, playing only 14 minutes. X-rays on the ankle came back negative, and like Ball, Ingram is questionable for the game.

This will be the third time that the Lakers and Grizzlies face off this season. The Lakers won the first meeting 107-102 at the STAPLES Center on November 5th. The Grizzlies exacted some revenge in the second meeting, defeating the Lakers 109-99, also at the STAPLES Center.
In both games, Tyreke Evans was the leading scorer. He poured in 26 in the first game and 32 in the second. If the Lakers are going to continue their winning streak, slowing down Evans is a must. With so many injuries, Evans has taken on a huge role with the Grizzlies and is producing his best numbers since his rookie season.
Along with Evans, the Lakers will also have to deal with Marc Gasol. Gasol is one of the best centers in the NBA and gets it done on both ends of the court.
If Ball and Ingram are sidelined for the Lakers, they will need some other players to step up and replace their production. The Lakers struggled mightily when Ball was sidelined with a shoulder injury, so if he is out they could have some issues.
If they are both sidelined, expect Tyler Ennis and Kyle Kuzma to be inserted into the starting lineup. That would leave Jordan Clarkson as the main threat off the bench.
Will the Lakers be able to overcome the injury concerns of Ball and Ingram to keep their winning streak alive? Or will the Grizzlies pick up their second consecutive victory over the Lakers? We will have to watch and see!
