The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Chicago Bulls at the United Center on Friday night. Check out our recap and highlights of the win!

The Los Angeles Lakers are playing their best basketball of the season. Los Angeles defeated the Chicago Bulls on Friday night, 108-103, for their fourth consecutive victory. The win makes it eight out of 10 for the Lakers, and also gives them a season sweep of the Bulls.

It was an up-and-down night for the Lakers, but they found a way to win the game in the end. They led a majority of the game, but the Bulls were able to take the lead back in the fourth quarter. For a young team, that is sometimes a kiss of death blowing a late lead. However, the Lakers rallied and got the lead back, holding off the Bulls.

Offensively, it was a total team effort. The Lakers shot 45.1 percent from the field with four players in double figures. The only player not to score tonight out of the 10 that received minutes was Larry Nance Jr.

Brandon Ingram led the way with 25 points. He came up big towards the end of the game, scoring 10 points in the fourth quarter. Ingram did it efficiently, making 10-of-18 from the field. He did struggle with his shot at times, as he missed all three of his 3-point attempts and shot 5-of-8 from the foul line.

Ingram rounded out his stat line well, as he added nine rebounds, five assists and one steal. Jordan Clarkson was second on the team with 19 points off the bench, while Brook Lopez had 17 and Julius Randle had 14.

This was one of the better games that Lopez has played in a long time, arguably even all season. The six rebounds he pulled down were the most since he pulled down nine in the first meeting against the Bulls. Brook has some extra motivation going up against the Bulls, as he goes head-to-head with his twin brother, Robin Lopez.

The Lakers had a strong game, especially their starting unit. Chicago’s starting five scored only 45 points combined, shooting 14-of-50. Zach LaVine was an unsightly 3-of-17.

However, it was a different story for the second unit. The Bulls three leading scorers on the night, Nikola Mirotic, Bobby Portis and Denzel Valentine, scored 18, 16 and 16 respectively. David Nwaba also had a solid game against his old team, scoring eight points off the bench as well.

Overall, the Lakers defense was strong, as they held Chicago to 37.6 percent shooting. However, the Bulls did light it up from deep. Chicago knocked down 17-of-36 3-point attempts, as five different Bulls made multiple 3-pointers.

That was the only reason this game was close, as the Bulls struggled to shoot anywhere else. They were 18-of-57 inside the arc and 16-of-24 at the foul line.
