Los Angeles Lakers: 4 Possible trade destinations for Julius Randle

One of the teams that have been rumored to actually be interested in Randle is the Dallas Mavericks. Since winning an NBA Title, the Mavericks have fallen on hard times. With Dirk Nowitzki no longer being a superstar, the Mavericks have struggled.
Like the Lakers were toward the end with Kobe Bryant, the Mavericks are starting their rebuild with an aging star. In the NBA Draft, the Mavericks were able to select a player that should be a big help in the future, as Dennis Smith Jr. looks like he can be a great player in the NBA. However, they now need to find players to put around him.
Even though the Mavericks have one of the worst records in the Western Conference, they could be interested in Randle as a building block for their future. Since Randle is still so young and is playing quite well this season, the Mavericks might believe that he can be a key piece for their rebuild.

With some good players like Wes Matthews and Harrison Barnes on the wing, the real problem for the Mavericks is in their frontcourt. Whether it be at power forward or center, Randle would be a huge upgrade for the Mavericks. If Dallas doesn’t want to wait for him to be a restricted free agent, they could certainly make a push to trade for Randle before the NBA Trade Deadline.
