Check out our recap and highlights of the Los Angeles Lakers victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night!

The Los Angeles Lakers got off on the right foot after the All-Star break. The Lakers defeated the Dallas Mavericks 124-102, exacting some revenge from an embarrassing loss prior to the All-Star break.

On February 10th, the Mavericks defeated the Lakers 130-123 at the American Airlines Center. While the offense remained basically the same, the Lakers defense thankfully improved from that performance.

Los Angeles held Dallas to 41.1 percent shooting from the field. The only success the Mavericks really had from the game was from the 3-point line. The Mavericks knocked down 19-of-42 from deep, equaling out to an impressive 45.2 percent.

Six different players made multiple 3-pointers for Dallas, led by five from Wesley Matthews and three apiece for Doug McDermott, Dirk Nowtizki and J.J. Barea.

Matthews was tied for the team lead in scoring with 19 points along with Harrison Barnes. Seven players scored in double-figures for the Mavericks on the evening.

Not to be outdone, the Lakers also had seven players score in double-figures. Julius Randle led the team with 18 points, making 9-of-13 from the field. Randle did a lot more than just score in the game. He recorded his first triple-double of the season, adding 12 rebounds with 10 assists.

Josh Hart had yet another double-double, as he scored 12 points with his 10 assists. Brandon Ingram fell just short, as he grabbed nine rebounds with his 15 points. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Kyle Kuzma, Ivica Zubac and Isaiah Thomas all scored in double-figures as well.

The Lakers offense was strong right from the get-go. They shot the ball well, making 52.5 percent of their shots overall and 39.4 percent from deep. The Lakers even got the job done at the foul line, making 75 percent of their free throws.

Rookie point guard Lonzo Ball also returned to the lineup tonight. Ball played 17 minutes and picked up right where he left off 15 games ago. He scored nine points, knocking down 3-of-6 from deep, adding seven rebounds and six assists. Had he played his normal allotment of minutes, the Lakers could have easily had two players record a triple-double tonight against the Mavericks.
