Check out our recap and highlights of the Los Angeles Lakers victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night!

The Los Angeles Lakers kept up their winning ways on Monday night. The Lakers blew out the Atlanta Hawks in the second game of their road trip, winning 123-104. It is the third consecutive victory for the Lakers, who have come out of the All-Star break firing on all cylinders.

The Lakers dominated every facet of the game tonight against the Hawks. Had they protected the ball better, the game would have actually been worse. Los Angeles turned the ball over 23 times, compared to 11 for Atlanta. Despite that discrepancy in turnovers, the Lakers still dominated on the scoreboard.

The Lakers played well on the defensive end of the court. Atlanta shot only 37.5 percent from the field and 22.2 percent from beyond the 3-point line. Isaiah Taylor, who scored 16 points off the bench, was the only Hawks’ player that made at least half of their shot attempts.

Four other Hawks players finished in double-figures. Taurean Prince led the way with 24 points, followed by 20 from Dennis Schroeder, 12 from Kent Bazemore and 11 from Mike Muscala.

The Lakers did a good job limiting the extra opportunities for the Hawks. While they gave the Hawks added possessions because of the turnovers, Atlanta grabbed only eight offensive rebounds.

The Laker dominated the glass throughout the evening. Los Angeles had 59 rebounds, compared to 41 for Atlanta. Three Lakers had double-digit rebounds, led by Kentavious Caldwell-Pope with 14. Julius Randle and Brandon Ingram each pulled down 10. Kyle Kuzma fell one short with nine, while Lonzo Ball had seven.

While Atlanta struggled to score, the Lakers had no such issues. All nine players who played double-digit minutes for the Lakers scored in double-figures. It was a balanced scoring effort, as everyone contributed to the victory over the Hawks.

Ingram led the way with 21 points, shooting an efficient 10-of-16 from the field. He was one of six Lakers to connect on at least 50 percent of their shots. Brook Lopez, Josh Hart, Caldwell-Pope, Randle, Ball and Kuzma all made at least half of their shots as well.

In his second game back from injury, Ball played well once again. In only 24 minutes he scored 13 points with seven rebounds, five assists and three steals. Ball is picking up right where he left off from injury.

The Lakers will have some days off before getting back on the court. Their road trip will continue Thursday with a visit to the Miami Heat. Having a few days off in South Beach has deterred many NBA teams previously, so it will be interesting to see how the young Lakers play.
