Missouri F, Jordan Barnett

Jordan Barnett began his collegiate career at Texas. After playing only 25 games his first two seasons there, be decided to transfer to Missouri. Upon arriving at Missouri, he immediately received more playing time and made the most of it.

In two seasons with the Tigers, Barnett averaged 13.1 points and 5.8 rebounds. He was a solid 3-point shooter, knocking down 37.1 percent of his attempts, including 41.4 percent in his senior season. He was also an impressive 84.7 percent shooter from the foul line.

His 3-point scoring is his biggest asset offensively. He isn’t great at creating his own shot, as he finds more success when he is being set up by other players. His ball handling also isn’t great, so he is best as a spot-up shooter.

In addition to his shooting, Barnett is also a good defender. That will be what helps him get onto a roster this summer if he is not drafted. At 6’7” and 215 pounds, he has the size and athleticism to defend multiple positions. Versatility is key in the NBA right now.

However, his chances of getting selected probably aren’t great. He was suspended for the team’s NCAA Tournament game because of a DWI arrest. That isn’t something you want on your record when you are a fringe draft prospect like Barnett is.
