In a new installment of the sports-famous “Game of Zones,” Bleacher Report predicts an Oklahoma City ominous event to happen this offseason that Los Angeles Lakers fans will be excited about.

The Paul George to the Los Angeles Lakers rumors have run wild since last year. In fact, then Yahoo report, Adrian Wojnarowski, reported that he wanted to opt out of his player option in the last year of his contract. George told the Pacers that Los Angeles was the preferred destination for his services.

In the meantime, Los Angeles stood pat, not giving away key core pieces such as Brandon Ingram. The deal probably would have had the Lakers dumping Luol Deng’s contract in the process, as well as a probable first-round pick being added as well.

Thunder general manager Sam Presti disregarded the warning signs of his free agency. In order to guarantee that Russell Westbrook was in the long-run for the Thunder, Presti took a risk by dealing Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis to Indiana for George.

Westbrook signed a supermax extension after the New York Knicks traded away All-Star Carmelo Anthony to the Thunder for Enes KanterDoug McDermott, and a second-round pick.

Issues rose up immediately. The media slandered the Thunder after an infamous loss to an Andrew Wiggins-buzzer beater. George’s stats fluctuated while playing with Russell Westbrook. Carmelo Anthony no longer looked like a quality-NBA starter and said he would not play off-the-bench.

Meanwhile, the Pacers achieved a better record than the Thunder “super-team.” Victor Oladipo rose to superstar prominence. Even the Knicks looked like a possible playoff contender when Kristaps Porzingis was healthy.

Bleacher Report released the season-ending episode for “Game of Zones,” a popular basketball comedic reference. In it, George and his horse are seen wearing a Lakers’ cloth of armor.

The dialogue is as follows:

"Russ: But, why must you leave?PG13: I’m a free agent now.Russ: Will you be back?PG13: Aye… one way or another…Russ: But, where will you go?PG13: I will raise the sails of me heart, and let the winds of destiny blow where they…Adams: C’mon mate. You’re wearing a Lakers tunic.PG13: Well… yeah.Russ: Paul, you realize House Lakers are bad, right?PG13: Russ, in my years, I’ve come to accept that I will lose in the playoffs, no matter where I go. But Los Angeles has a beach. All right, well I must be going. Grunion season is upon us.Adams: Surf’s up mate.Melo: Aw, c’mon now, Russ. Don’t worry. I’m not gonna go anywhere.Russ: [cries]"

Although some shots were throne at the Lakers, Thunder, and Paul George (because its Game of Zones), it was incredibly hilarious to watch this as both a Los Angeles fan and an NBA fan. In time, I do hope Paul George can bring his talents to Los Angeles. It would fulfill B/R’s prophecy, and bring more excitement to the city of Angels.
