147. . Point Guard. Villanova. Jalen Brunson. 29. player

As the Nets still deal with trades from the past that has resulted in them not having control of their draft picks, they will be attempting to add some more young talent to their team. Despite not having their own picks, the Nets have been trying to rebuild, and they have done a decent job with it.

While we knew this rebuild would not be easy, the Nets have certainly done well considering what they were dealt. This year, the Nets will be drafting 29th, but luckily they will be able to add a talented player in Jalen Brunson.

On the best team in the country, Brunson was the National Player of the Year. Since Brunson wasn’t a freshman, that does affect his draft stock a bit, as he was a player that spent three years at Villanova.

By selecting Brunson, the Nets will be getting a player that can help them right away. As we saw last year with Josh Hart, Villanova players are able to come in a play right away in the NBA. Brunson was a winner in college, and adding a player like him to the Nets can help them continue to change the culture of the team.
