On Sunday afternoon the Los Angeles Lakers were able to advance in the Las Vegas Summer League with an easy win over the Detroit Pistons.

The Los Angeles Lakers were able to keep their perfect record in Las Vegas this season going, as they defeated the Detroit Pistons 101-78. Despite being without Moritz Wagner once again, the Lakers won this game rather easily.

With LeBron James in attendance, the Lakers might have had a little extra motivation with their new superstar in the building. One of the players that looked like he was trying to impress James was Josh Hart. So far in the Summer League, Hart has been arguably the best player in the tournament, and he had a quick start.

In the first quarter when the Lakers jumped the Pistons, Hart was able to total 12 points very quickly. Setting the tone has been something that the Lakers have done well in Las Vegas, and that is a good recipe for success.

Overall, Hart finished with 18 points on six-for-12 shooting with four assists. Hart only had to play 21 minutes in this game, as the Lakers had a nice lead throughout. In Sunday’s win, Hart’s partner in crime was Svi Mykhailiuk.

Mykhailiuk was able to lead the Lakers in scoring with 19 points on seven-for-15 shooting. Svi’s ability to be a knockdown shooter has really helped the Lakers stretch the floor and he went two-for-five from beyond the arc in this game.

With Hart and Mykhailiuk leading the way for the Lakers, they were also able to get a nice performance from Jeff Ayres in the starting lineup. Ayres totaled a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, as he continues to play well in place of Wagner.
