Former Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard, Nick Young, was arrested recently in Hollywood.
Los Angeles police placed former Los Angeles Lakers guard, Nick Young, under arrest in Hollywood in a late-night traffic stop for a traffic violation.
According to The Associated Press through the department spokesman, Officer Mike Lopez, Nick Young was arrested for delaying an investigation which is a misdemeanor. Lopez went on to say that Young allegedly did not obey the officers, became upset and caused a delay.
Young was released on $10,000 bail.
Since Young was released, a video of the arrest shot by some bystanders has been put out by TMZ Sports. In the video, Nick Young is clearly being heard asking, “Am I resisting?”
To be clear here, although the video showing the situation does not show Nick Young causing any issues, it does not show the entire incident.
The 33-year old’s court date is September 19th.
Young spent last season with the World Champion Golden State Warriors. As of this writing, he is an unsigned free agent.
Nick Young spent four years with the Lakers playing, the 2013 season through to the 2017 season.

During the 2013-14 season, Nick Young converted a Lakers record seven four-point plays. He averaged a career-high 17.9 points per game.
2014
Nick Young re-upped with the Lakers for a reported four year, $21.5 million dollar contract. After starting the season late due to injury, Young scored 17 points and had five rebounds against the Atlanta Hawks in a 114-109 win. Young again went off against the San Antonio Spurs scoring a season-high 29 points. He went to average 13.4 points in 42 games.
2016
In his final season with the Lakers, Nick Young made eight 3-pointers and scored a season-high 32 points in a loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on December 17, 2016. That coincided with a white hot streak from the 3-point line, where he tallied 36 3-pointers in eight games. The most in that span in Lakers history. After being shut down at the end of the season (He was healthy) by the Lakers, he was released from his contract when it was not extended.
