Los Angeles Lakers vs Portland Trail Blazers: Game 14 preview, odds, live stream
The Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers face off tonight for the third time this season.
The Los Angeles Lakers look like they are beginning to figure things out. Los Angeles is riding a three-game winning streak and has won five of their last six. That has pushed them over the .500 mark for the first time all season.
Now, the Lakers will look to keep the good times rolling at the Staples Center. Los Angeles will be hosting the Portland Trail Blazers tonight on national television.
This is already the third time that the Lakers and Trail Blazers will face off this season. The Trail Blazers won the first meeting, on opening night, at the Moda Center. Portland extended multiple streaks in that game, including a 16-game winning streak against the Lakers.
Los Angeles would finally snap that streak on Nov. 3. They knocked off the Trail Blazers at the Moda Center, breaking the long losing streak. Now, they will look to start a winning streak of their own against Portland.

The Lakers recent turnaround can be contributed to their defensive performance. Tyson Chandler was signed last week and he has provided an immediate spark on that end of the court. The three lowest point totals surrendered this season have come in the past three games for the Lakers.
Luke Walton seems to be settling in on a rotation more, as players are beginning to buy into and get comfortable with their roles. There are still some things to iron out, but they are looking better now than they did two weeks ago.
It is still early, but it is never too early to begin asserting yourself. Portland has been playing very well this season, as they come into the game with a 10-3 record. The Lakers, on the other hand, come in at 7-6.
Los Angeles is in the midst of a soft part of their schedule. If they can knock off the Trail Blazers tonight, they could put together a lengthy winning streak. Picking up a win tonight is important as the Lakers are also set to embark on a three-game road trip beginning this upcoming weekend.

Betting Odds
Once again, oddsmakers believe this will be a close game. The first two matchups this season were hotly contested, as Portland pulled away late for a nine-point victory in Game 1, and the Lakers won by four in Game 2. Expect another competitive game, that will be high scoring, if Las Vegas is accurate with their line making.
