We take a look at the Los Angeles Lakers roster, as a whole, and provide power rankings for each player. Who ends up with the No. 1 spot?

We’re just about at the quarter pole of the season so it’s time to rank every Los Angeles Lakers player. These ranking are based on every player’s overall body of work for the entire season, so if a Lakers player has played well over the last 2 or three games, but has played like a dumpster fire for the rest of the season they’ll still be at the bottom of the rankings.

15-11: The end of the bench

15. Michael Beasley

Dude’s played 20 minutes this season and the funny thing is: The Lakers actually needed him to soak up the backup center minutes at the beginning of the season. He’s cared so little about playing basketball that Lakers management had to bring in an undrafted rookie to play backup center. Oh, and he left the team to “take care of some family issues” for part of the season. Good job Beasley, I guess you really want to go back to China!

14. Svi Mykhailiuk

It took me three minutes to type out this guy’s name. Thanks for that! Is Svi an NBA player? He’s only played 78 minutes this season, but his time on the court’s been ugly. He’s shot 33 percent from the field and gotten worked over on the less glamorous side of the ball. He’s got a -5.9 Box Plus Minus, which is well below that of an average player. I’d be surprised if he was on the Lakers next year.

13. Moritz Wagner

He’s played two minutes all season, but I still have him ranked higher than Beasley and Svi. Good job Wagner! He was injured and hasn’t gotten an opportunity this year, but I like him. Wagner plays hard on defense and runs the floor really well in transition.

12. Ivica Zubac

He’s played a total of 40 minutes this season. He’s got to be sweating through his pajamas at night worrying about the future because it’s his third year and barring an injury to JaVale McGee or Tyson Chandler, he’s not going to play. I doubt he sticks in the league, which is sad because he seems like a really nice guy.

11. Johnathan Williams

He played solid basketball for the Lakers when they needed him most. He had a Defensive Box Plus/Minus of 0 and his Defensive Win Shares were 0.1. Both stats aren’t very impressive, but he passed the eye-test and played at full throttle the entire time he was on the court. I hope he sticks with the Lakers past this year.
