The Los Angeles Lakers will host the San Antonio Spurs tonight at the Staples Center and we have all the information you need to watch the game.
The Los Angeles Lakers are well rested. They haven’t played since Sunday, when they crushed the Phoenix Suns, defeating them 120-96 after a slow start. Tonight, the Lakers will look to avoid that slow start against the San Antonio Spurs.
This will be the third time already this season that the Lakers and Spurs will face each other. The Spurs won the first two meetings, but both games were very close. If Los Angeles had received some breaks, they could have easily won both games.
The first meeting was an overtime thriller. The Lakers led by as many as six points in overtime but faltered the final 51 seconds as the Spurs outscored them 7-0. Patty Mills hit the game-winning shot with seven seconds remaining.
In the second game, the Spurs won 110-106. An almost six-minute scoring drought in the fourth quarter did the Lakers in. Their defense kept them in the game, as they only went down by six during that scoring drought. However, their offense was unable to get it going and they lost the game.

The Lakers struggled to slow down the Spurs’ top two scorers in LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan. Aldridge scored 52 points with 15 rebounds, eight assists, three blocks and one steal in the two games. DeRozan was even tougher to stop, scoring 62 points with 20 rebounds, 22 assists, one block and three steals.
For the Lakers, Kyle Kuzma and LeBron James led the way offensively. Kuzma scored 52 points with 12 rebounds and four assists. James tried to will the team to victory, compiling 67 points, 19 rebounds, 18 assists, one block and three steals.
The Lakers come into this game on a three-game and a record of 14-9. The Spurs finish up their back-to-back set after getting blown out by the Utah Jazz. San Antonio has lost three of their last four games, dropping their record to 11-13.
