The Los Angeles Lakers gave the Milwaukee Bucks a good game but fell apart once again in crunch time.

The Los Angeles Lakers played with a competitive spirit for 45 minutes in this game and had the Milwaukee Bucks on the ropes ready for the knockout blow. The only problem is the game is 48 minutes and the Bucks gave the Lakers the infamous rope-a-dope.

Muhammad Ali would have been proud.

The Milwaukee Bucks, down by one with 3:02 in the game, went on a 15-2 run to finish the game. It was started by a strong drive on a layup by Eric Bledsoe, plus a foul by Kyle Kuzma defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 131-120. With the Clippers beating the Sacramento Kings on Friday night, one message is clear and understood for the Lakers.

This is not a cliche…Forget the “must win” for the Lakers on Monday. The Lakers “Better” beat the Clippers on Monday. If they don’t…the staff of Lake Show Life might as well start watching March Madness to scout who the Lakers need to get in the lottery in the offseason.

Yes, Los Angeles Lakers fans, it has come to this.

More from Lake Show Life

In the last 2:25 of the game, the Lakers were outscored 12-2, missing four of their last five shots, turning the ball over twice and was guilty of committing four fouls.

Most Lakers fans will be talking about this play at the end and LeBron James‘ reaction.

Let’s get LeBron James’ reaction out of the way…to anyone that criticizes the guy for looking that way as opposed to cursing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope out needs to get a grip. Caldwell-Pope panicked and basically lobbed a horrendous pass and prayed that LeBron would help him out. The shot by Malcolm Brogdon, well sometimes you just have to shake a man’s hand.

With all of the bad losses the Lakers have suffered this season, this will sting as well considering they held the “Greek Freak” Giannis Antetokounmpo to only 16 points and 15 rebounds. That counts for his 43rd double-double of the season, but he was far from being the best player on the court. The Lakers had two players that outshined him (more on those two later!).

The Los Angeles Lakers have been criticized for their defense since Lonzo Ball has been out, but the real problem is Rajon Rondo and the rest of the Lakers defenders get basically baked by opposing point guards. That was no more evident than last night because Eric Bledsoe and Malcolm Brogdon took turns taking the ball to the rim over and over again.

This roster was unchanged as Lakers fans were looking for buyout candidates to fill out the roster. Luke Walton will get blamed, again, for rotation patterns but let’s be real, this is turning into a front office issue by the day.

Let’s get one decision that they made right out-of-the-way.
