4. Hire Tyronn Lue as the next Los Angeles Lakers head coach
In my opinion, the right head coach to take the Lakers to a championship level is not on the market. There are numerous fine head coaches who could do a good job, but none who will take the Lakers to the promise land.
In an ideal World, the Lakers would have Mike Budenholzer, Quin Snyder, Eric Spoelstra or even Nick Nurse to choose from, but no one of that caliber is on the market.
With all that said, Tyronn Lue offers a steady hand capable of righting the ship. Having already led LeBron and the Cavaliers to a Championship in 2016, you would have instant buy-in from James and the rest of the Lakers would follow suit.
Lue would be the ideal bridge coach to see out the LeBron era in LA. I don’t see Lue as the long term solution for the Lakers, but he is good enough to carry the Lakers beyond the Lebron years and have the team well equipped for the future.
