Reggie Bullock

With the trade deadline approaching, the Lakers decided to add some 3-point shooting to the roster in order to help put a more well-rounded team around LeBron James.

The Lakers made a deal with the Detroit Pistons, receiving Bullock in exchange for fan favorite and highly touted young prospect Svi Mykhailiuk. This move was met with a mixed reaction. On one hand, the Lakers had just given up a young prospect who has quickly endeared himself to Lakers nation. On the other hand, they had just gotten a veteran 3-point shooter who would be able to help immediately.

With Reggie Bullock, the Lakers received a player that ideally fits the system in which LeBron James and Luke Walton wish to play. Bullock is a career 39.2% 3-point shooter who is capable of guarding numerous positions and versatile enough to play in a starting role or bench role without any problems.

With his high character, good motor and his ability to stay relatively healthy, Bullock provides a player who can potentially be a fantastic rotation piece for the Lakers moving forward.

Hopefully, next season, if Bullock is on the Lakers, he can build upon what he has already done and give the Lakers a boost off the bench, punishing opposing 2nd units with his scoring.
