Josh Hart, Moritz Wagner and the 4th overall pick to the Washington Wizards for Bradley Beal

The Wizards are between a rock and a hard place with John Wall‘s contract. He is constantly injured and is on a supermax contract, which is going to be back breaking for the Wizards unless they make the necessary moves to get out from underneath it.

With Bradley Beal on the books, they have a franchise shooting guard who has looked every bit of an All-NBA performer (he narrowly missed the 3rd Team All NBA) and while he probably should be held onto, the Wizards should probably start rebuilding.

With the 9th overall pick in the draft, the Wizards have a nice building block for the future. However, with the 4th overall pick, they could replace John Wall long term with Darius Garland and with the 9th overall pick they could replace Beal with Duke’s Cam Reddish or Indiana’s Romeo Langford.

This also frees up cap space for the Wizards and if they make the necessary moves to get out from underneath Wall’s contract, they could go into next year with another top lottery pick, ample cap space and a young core under contract.

Adding a good role player in Josh Hart and a combo forward in Mortiz Wagner might be enough to get a deal done. While this may be a low ball offer for Beal, I think the Lakers might offer a future first-round pick to get the deal done if it meant keeping Lonzo, Ingram and Kuzma.
