LaVar Ball took it well at first…but then…LaVar was LaVar

Most of us heard about the trade news on ESPN. LaVar Ball heard about the news on the PA system while he was watching LaMelo Ball play in the Drew League. Let’s be clear here, the elder Ball was hot. But he did put up a brave front when asked about the trade initially…

Okay, there’s this thing about insanity. First LaVar talks about getting his sons on the same team. I think we can all let that go. Zion Williamson needs to learn how to play? You know Zion, the number one pick, super strong, can jump out the gym Zion?

Then reality set in and LaVar Ball started talking Lakers…past and present!

LaVar Ball really went in on the Lakers talking about the guarantee of the Lakers not winning a championship with AD in the fold. Mentioning former Lakers like Russell and Randle was bad enough, but to slight Larry Nance Jr. and Jordan Clarkson is a classic case of what made the decision of trading Lonzo Ball away in the first place. He had a stronger statement for Anthony Davis how things go in Laker Land.. Due to the language I will place it here with a warning of adult language.

Lakers fans, mark my words, you will miss LaVar Ball. Why? Because deep down Lakers fans love drama and he provided it in spades. I watched the NBA draft when Lonzo Ball was drafted  just to see how LaVar would act when he got interviewed. After Lonzo was drafted, the rest of the draft put me to sleep. Part of the LaVar’s charm is that the things he says are so outlandish, it’s really entertaining. Don’t believe me?

LaVar Ball was on ESPN Monday morning on First Take. Ever the agent, ever the entertainer. Now it looks like he totally got over his anger and let the world know that it was in the plans all along…

Well LaVar Ball did trend on Twitter. But it was for a statement that was considered unprofessional. I love this dude. History was made on Saturday. It was the first time LaVar Ball let the world see him sweat. But that did not last long. He’s back to the same guy that I love to watch and some hate to listen to.
