5. Amir Johnson

Amir Johnson did not have impressive stats last season, but he did play in 53 games for a contending Philadelphia 76ers team last year. He has also proven to be able to hit an open shot and space the floor in his 14-year career.

He has an amazing career field goal percentage of 57 percent, and he has shot over 30 percent from beyond the arc in his career as well. Obviously, he is not the playmaker that the former All-Star DeMarcus Cousins is, but he averaged almost two assists on only about 10 minutes per game last season.

Those numbers might look bleak, but if Johnson were to be given a larger role in another rotation, he might be able to produce more with the opportunity. He definitely has a ton of miles on his legs, having been drafted straight out of high school by the Pistons in 2005. But since he was drafted so young, even though he is a 14-year veteran, he is only 32 years old.

The Los Angeles native would probably not mind playing for his home town squad, because like most veterans in his situation, he has expressed interest in playing for a contender this upcoming season. If that is true, then maybe he can give the Lakers a little bit more depth by signing a veteran minimum deal.
